What does PacTerm do?
PacTerm turns signed contracts into structured intelligence for procurement, legal and finance teams. It extracts and standardizes key commercial terms, alerts owners before renewals and notice deadlines, surfaces alternative vendors and scores suppliers, all in one secure workspace.
What contracts and file types can PacTerm read?
Supplier agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, amendments, order forms and subscriptions, in PDF (digital or scanned), Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OpenDocument, RTF and image files, plus ZIP archives of mixed files. Non-English contracts can be translated to English on ingest.

Renewal alerts & alternative vendors
How do renewal reminders and email alerts work?
PacTerm tracks three deadlines on every contract: expiry, auto-renewal and the last day to give non-renewal notice. Items flag critical within 30 days and warning within 60. Each owner receives a weekly email digest, grouped by workspace with a suggested action for every item.
How does PacTerm calculate a notice deadline?
It takes the contract end date and subtracts the notice period stated in the contract. That date, the last day to send non-renewal notice, is tracked as its own reminder.
How does PacTerm find alternative vendors?
Strategic Sourcing maps every supply line by supplier, product family, contracted items (SKUs), region and expiry, sorted by what expires first. Pick a line and PacTerm returns 3 to 6 ranked substitutes, each with product match, a fit rationale, a Low/Medium/High risk rating and a confidence score to validate before you engage.

Accuracy & sources
Can we verify what PacTerm extracts and answers?
Yes. Every extracted value carries a confidence score and the source page and snippet it came from, and calculated values are flagged. In Clarity, single-file answers include page citations that open the original document.
Are supplier scores generated automatically?
Supplier scores are rules-based, not model-generated: each contract is scored from its standardized commercial terms using defined rules, so every number can be explained.

Security
Is our contract data secure?
Every organization is isolated: queries are scoped to your tenant, files live in a dedicated space, and contracts are never pooled across customers. Credentials are encrypted at rest with AES, and PacTerm runs on your own machines as a desktop application.
Can contract processing stay on our own machines?
Yes. PacTerm is available as a desktop application for Mac and Windows, so documents are processed on your own hardware. We help your IT team set it up during onboarding.

Plans & pricing
Which plan includes renewal email alerts and alternative vendors?
Reminders with weekly email alerts and Strategic Sourcing are included on Professional and Enterprise. Both rely on the Analytics step, which calculates contract dates and builds supply-line data.
How is PacTerm priced?
